Complacency is a real problem in our culture. We use every excuse to be mediocre and it offers us no reward; no sense of completion whatsoever and certainly no favor with God.
This way of thinking and being will only prove to deteriorate us as Christians and turn us into fools. It makes us extremely vulnerable to false teachings which can lead us astray and literally destroy us by leading us down wrong paths. Make no mistake, Christians can be just as susceptible to being a fool as anyone.
We must give heed to His word and His word alone, not listening to man. And the only way we can do this is by being in the Word for ourselves. This is the only way we can assure we are following the path of righteousness, not of evil.
Being a disciple of Christ requires us to be constantly active and ever-seeking His face and digging into His Word and being His hands and feet.
Join us at the Moms in the Word community as we go through Proverbs through the month of July.
