The warm weather is finally beginning to stick here in Michigan and I'm excited for all the possibilities lying ahead. Spring is a season of new growth and the summer months can keep us so busy we forget to nurture our spiritual lives.
In order to continue to pursue Jesus and keep myself rooted in Him and learning about Him, I need to be intentional. I know, everyone is sick of that word. Intentional. But it's true! Switch it out with the word purposeful. It's important we make the time to continue to grow and nurture our spiritual walk.
For the summer, I am going to be leading a group of women through the book of Luke and dig into what it means to live with passion and purpose. This is something I crave. I don't want to just live by default; I want to live by design and purpose. And I want to do it passionately. Wholeheartedly. Joyfully. Willingly.
I invite you to join us! There is a very special community of women that you may already be a part of called Moms in the Word. It's something that has remained quiet for the last year as I have been going through so much transition. But I'm reviving it as the need to be in God's Word is so strong and important. And as moms, we know how challenging it can be! But it's not impossible! :)
Below you will find the book I'll be using to assist us through the study. You can purchase your copy from Amazon.
This guide does an excellent job of breaking down the book of Luke into digestible bits and helps us dig into it on a practical level and personal level, both which are important.
This study has the potential to be life-changing. We can either go through the motions of reading and answering questions without ever letting it penetrate our hearts, or we can take every lesson as a real opportunity to grow and make changes in our lives. God's Word will not return void when we take it seriously and allow it to change us.
Below you will see the breakdown of the study and what we will be digging into. Friends, it's going to be a POWERFUL study! Please join us!

Breaking Down the Study
Rather than doing 1 chapter per day, I've broken it down to do 2 chapters per week; each Monday and Thursday. I assure you, after going through the study guide and answering the questions, this is going to take some time. We don't want to just blow through the book of Luke without digging into it and understanding thoroughly.
This isn't merely about gaining head knowledge but of heart change.
So when we meet for the first day, June 1st, you should have Day 1 completed. I will post reminders here on the blog and in the group so everyone knows what we are doing when. :)
How Can I Join?
To be clear, it is not necessary to have the study guide to join this Bible study on Luke. All you really need is a Bible and willing heart. However, if you would like it (it has a place to answer questions and great thought provoking devotions), you can order it here.
The next thing you'll want to do is request to join the Moms in the Word Facebook group.
All our discussions will take place within this Facebook group. However, if you are not on Facebook, I will be posting a compilation from the week each Friday.
You can read that right here on the blog each Friday or you can subscribe to receive updates right in your email.
I'm looking forward to diving in deep with you and living our faith out together with passion and purpose!
For His Glory,
